The City of Erie is the county seat of Erie County, Pennsylvania. Lying along the coast of Lake Erie, the city is home to over 104,000 residents and is the fourth-largest city in the state. With it's city-feel and lakefront landscape, Erie is a great place to visit and an even better place to live.

Erie Employment
|
Erie has a large variety of employment opportunities. The city's largest single employer is GE Infrastructure-Rail, a locomotive builder located nearby in Lawrence Park Township. High-precision industries are growing in the area now replacing many of the heavy industries that were formerly prevalent. The plastics industry, and related services such as machine-tool shops, creates many jobs in the area and creates a lot of jobs since over 10% of the nation's plastics are manufactured or finished in Erie.
